Overview


Holistic Speech Pathology provides assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents (ages 0–18) who require communication support. We focus on delivering the highest-quality services, driven by the best available evidence to address speech sound disorders, language and literacy disorders and stuttering.

All services are delivered within a structured episode-of-care framework, with clear pathways from assessment through to therapy, progress review, and discharge.

Our Services


Holistic Speech Pathology offers comprehensive services to address speech, language, literacy and fluency (stuttering) difficulties.

Services are available in-clinic at North Perth, with telehealth and community visits (home, school, childcare) offered where clinically appropriate. If you have any queries about how our service works, please contact us.

Service Delivery


  • In-clinic: Comfortable, well-resourced environment at our North Perth clinic
  • Telehealth: A convenient option when distance or life’s challenges prevent you from attending the clinic. We can advise you on what is clinically appropriate for online appointments.
  • School and home visits: These visits support holistic care by involving key people and environments in assessments and therapy. Parent-involvement remains a priority.

Payment and Funding


Payment is due on the day of service and can be made via EFTPOS, direct transfer or online payment. HICAPS is available onsite for immediate private health rebates. Please check your coverage with your private health insurance provider prior to booking your appointment.

Some people may be eligible for Medicare rebates under the Chronic Disease Management referral scheme. A GP referral is required, with speech pathology included in the plan. Please note that you cannot claim for Medicare and Private Health Fund rebates for the same appointments.

We provide services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants in our early stages of NDIS service provision.

We provide screening, assessment and therapy for speech sound disorders, stuttering, language and literacy delays and disorders.

We do not provide services for voice disorders, dysphagia and mealtime management, acquired brain injury, laryngectomy and tracheostomy management, autism assessments, or complex communication needs (including AAC system development and specialist support for hearing/vision impairment). We can assist you in finding appropriate services.

A consult provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns and receive a clinical opinion about whether an assessment is required. An enquiry is useful for getting more information about our services and speech pathology services, in general.

Yes, we offer home and school visits where clinically appropriate. These visits support holistic care by involving significant people in assessment and therapy and building capability within the community. In-clinic sessions with parent involvement remain our primary mode of service.

Yes, we provide holistic care, which means we collaborate with other professionals as appropriate and with your consent.

The length of therapy depends on your child’s needs, goals, and the nature of their communication difficulty. We use a structured episode-of-care model with defined therapy blocks, regular progress reviews, and clear outcomes measurement to track progress.
